We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our growing business. This is a hands-on financial accounting role with a broad remit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving forward the managing monthly close process per the monthly timetable.

What you will be doing:

• Reporting and commentary of the group balance sheet to the Board.
• Responsibility for ensuring group balance sheet reconciliations is completed per the month end timeline by the Finance & Treasury team;
• Working key international business partners in preparation for financial reporting, tax and statutory matters compliant;
• Monthly and annual VAT submissions for the Netherlands and Japan;
• Review of work performed by financial accountants, ensuring the work is accurate and well documented.
• Responsible for all group consolidation adjustments;
• Assist in the annual Group audit and preparation of the Group financials statements.
• Consistently working to improve processes across the group and drive efficiencies;
• Assist with work on the SAP project implementation.
• Driving process improvements within the accounting function, and
• Other ad-hoc work as required

What we need from you:

• Nearly qualified or qualified accountant (0-2 years PQE, ACA, ACCA or equivalent);
• Experience in financial reporting, preferably at group level;
• Ability to work with key business partners at all levels of an international organisation, and able to explain complex, detailed matters to operational managers;
• Ability to work with complex and detail technical matters;
• Experience of multi-currency financial reporting would be good;
• Experience with SAP would be good.
• Experience in communicating with multiple stakeholders;
• Methodical approach to tasks who demonstrates a calm demeanor under pressure;
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, and
• Highly driven individual with a hands-on deck mentality, consistently seeking to drive process improvement;
• Ability to take ownership of a project and see it through to completion
