We are seeking an exceptional commercial leader to spearhead a bold, multi-year growth journey across the US market. In this pivotal role, you will define and execute the US growth strategy end-to-end — taking full ownership for commercial performance, team leadership, and market expansion. You will be accountable for P&L delivery, the cultivation of strategic retail partnerships, and the translation of our brand vision into outstanding in-market execution.
Reporting directly to the Global Chief Commercial Officer, you will collaborate closely with global leadership while championing the voice of the US market — shaping our commercial future and driving transformative growth.
What you will be doing:
- Define and lead the US commercial strategy, driving sustainable growth through category expansion, new distribution, and market penetration.
- Build, scale, and inspire a high-performing US sales organisation, driving a culture of accountability, performance, and collaboration.
- Own and develop senior relationships with key national retail partners across wholesale channels (Mass, Specialty, Grocery, Club, Pure Play, etc.).
- Lead go-to-market planning, trade terms negotiations, pricing strategy, and joint business plans across all accounts.
- Oversee trade marketing execution, promotional strategy, and sell-in/sell-through performance in partnership with key retailers.
- Drive operational rigor, implementing systems and processes to support scalable growth across sales functions.
- Take full P&L accountability, managing revenue, margin, and operating targets with discipline and ambition.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, and New Product Development to ensure market needs are reflected in forecasts, launches, and innovation pipelines.
- Provide US market insights to Global HQ, including trends, consumer behaviour and competitor activity, influencing long-term innovation and brand strategy.
- Champion the Joseph Joseph brand in the US market, increasing brand visibility, household reach, and market share
What you’ll bring:
- Proven leadership experience in the US market within consumer goods, homewares, housewares, or lifestyle brands.
- Demonstrated success driving revenue growth with major national and regional retail accounts.
- Expertise in wholesale channel management across Mass, Specialty, Grocery, Club, and Pure Play.
- Strong track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams, with proven coaching and talent development skills.
- Deep commercial acumen with full P&L ownership experience.
- Strong analytical, financial, and forecasting capability, with confidence in performance metrics and reporting.
- Skilled negotiator with experience in joint business planning, trade terms, and vendor agreements.
- Entrepreneurial mindset. Action-oriented, hands-on, and motivated by growth in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communicator and cross-functional collaborator with the ability to influence at executive level.
- Deep understanding of the US retail and wholesale landscape, including customer dynamics and competitive positioning.
