Field Sales Manager (m/w/d) - Germany & Austria

Thanks to Joseph Joseph's ambitious growth plan in Germany and Austria, an exciting position of Field Sales Manager - Germany & Austria has been created. You will be responsible for expanding the Brand presence with existing customers, negotiating, and opening new customers, elevating the Brand presentation and managing the P&L of our independents, furniture and DIY retail customers. Managing a team of 3 Regional Sales Managers.
You will work directly with the Sales Director for Germany & Austria and will be in close coordination with your colleagues in the areas of internal sales, customer service, field sales, demand planning and logistics, as well as with the Finance & Controlling department.
What you will be doing:
- Lead, coach, and empower your team of regional sales managers.
- Manage relationships with the independents, furniture, and DIY retail customers together with your team.
- Build joined business plan with key retailers and elevate the Brand presentation in stores.
- Create attractive promotions to serve consumers in key purchasing moments while maintaining Brand equity.
- Expand the distribution by pro-actively reaching out to new retailers, negotiate and seal contracts.
- Build strong relationships and drive efficient communication with internal departments such as trade marketing, customer service, demand planning, finance and controlling to ensure mutual understanding of Joseph Joseph's customer needs.
- Active participation and involvement in annual regional and local contract and price negotiations, as well as active documentation of results and follow-up.
- Effective budget planning and control
- Participation in industry fairs (e.g. Ambiente), internal and external events and sales events.
What we need from you:
- Experience as Key Account / Business Development Manager / Regional Manager with Employee Responsibility.
- Proven experience in opening new accounts.
- Experience working in a start-up-like environment would be beneficial.
- Experience with Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or Household goods is an advantage.
- Experience in the distribution of premium brands.
- Knowledge of the retail landscape in Germany and Austria.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Capacity to create a positive and dynamic working environment with your team.
- Fluent in English and German
- High willingness to travel (3 days / week average)
- Very good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
